This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.

I’m always amazed at the people who try to argue that politics has no place in sports. Sports is a part of society and society today is drowning in the ugliness of politics.

This comes to mind as the Red Bull Formula One team is blocking access to its champion driver and team principle because it doesn’t like the way Sky Sports is reporting on the team.Red Bull Racing Logo

When you’re champion why not bend the rules to fit your needs. And why not block anyone who disagrees with that attitude.

If the world doesn’t fit your rose-colored glasses, change the world until it does. If you’re tired of answering questions, change the questions until they fit your answers. I’m sure Red Bull fans agree with those ideas.

The Spanish artist Pablo Picasso said: “Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” Red Bull is learning to break the sporting rules of competition with an artist’s flair.

After all, when you’re champion the rules are whatever you say they are, right?

Peace.
