Grammy award winning singer Macy Gray is known for her distinctive raspy voice and a singing style heavily influenced by Billie Holiday. But after an op-ed piece published in MarketWatch, the singer may be known for some political beliefs as well. Gray said it’s time for the U.S. flag to be updated, that it “no longer represents ALL of us.” She said the current flag had been hijacked by people like the insurrectionists who carried the Stars and Stripes when storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6th.
