This is the Stattmann Baby!!  Time to Scatt a little bit.

Ever know someone who had a dream deferred only to get a break and see that dream realized?

If not, consider Greg Biffle.  He wanted to drive in the major leagues of motor racing but put that aside to get on with his life running a business in the Northwest.

Now, after a truck championship and a Busch championship, Biffle is fighting for a Cup championship.  And he’s doing it at the age of 35 against those so-called Young Guns; you know, the guys who had their hands out a couple years ago ready to accept a sport everyone was trying to hand over to them.

Oh, you remember the Young Guns don’t you?  If not, look at the back of the line.  Twelve of the top fifteen in points will be 30-something this year.

Remember when you couldn’t trust anyone over 30!?

Biffle is a man’s man.  He’s the kind of guy who’d put everything aside, even the chance to talk with the national media, to save a stranger who was in trouble.

Maybe it’s prophetic he’s sponsored by the National Guard.  He’s guarding the title Good Guy for the rest of us, even if he doesn’t win his Cup championship this year.

Peace.
