This is the Statt Mann baby!  Let’s Scatt a little bit.

Casey Mears is emerging as a NASCAR star.  He has two poles in the last three races and a fourth Sunday at Watkins Glen where he led for awhile.

He’s 16th in points, up from 35th last year when teammate Jamie McMurray won the Rookie honors while finishing 13th.  It’s a different story for McMurray this year though!

McMurray is falling like a stone in the standings.  He's tied up in a dispute with owner Chip Ganassi that could find Jamie sitting out the Cup schedule next year.

And Casey, the one everyone wrote off, is plugging away.  At this point in the season he's running better than McMurray and Sterling Marlin, his teammates at Ganassi.  He's climbing the charts like the B Side of a hit!  You know, like the hits Sly & The Family Stone used to have "Back in the Day."

Thankfully, Casey Mears is one of those EVERYDAY PEOPLE who wants to TAKE YOU HIGHER singing the SIMPLE SONG of hardnosed racing and honest work.

With the name Mears, it must be a FAMILY AFFAIR.
