This is the Statt Mann Baby. It's time to Scatt a little bit.

You have to wonder if drivers wind up in the wrong compounds when the World Rally Championship goes to Rally Argentina next weekend.

Already this year we’ve seen Mikko Hirvonen move from Ford to Citroen. Hirvonen was with Ford the last six years even challenging Citroen’s Sebastien Loeb in 2009 for the WRC title but missing by just one point after things went bad on the second to the last stage of the season.

Now, added to the mix, is Dani Sordo who will be with Ford in Argentina. He’s replacing Ford’s number one driver Jari-Matti Latvala who was injured last week in a skiing accident.

Clear? Well, there’s more.

Sordo once was a test driver for Citroen. That was before he went to the new Mini team where he’s been for the last two years.

But, since Mini isn’t full time this year and had no plans to run in Argentina, Sordo signed on with Ford to replace Latvala. He’s been testing already.

Like I said, don’t be surprised if some drivers end up in the wrong compounds. You can’t tell the WRC field these days without a program.

Peace.
