“Just
like most racing fans, or all sports fans for that matter, we’re tired
of the trite and set up reality bits you see on television today,” says
SpeedFreaks host Kenny Sargent. “What SpeedFreaks TV has done is strip
off the gloss, left the cracks alone, trashed the scripts and rolled
our high def cameras on the biggest cats in motorsports. Gary Scelzi
and Brian Collins were kind enough to let us invade their personal
space for days. So man, its all there, a wild gun collection to why
drag racers should stay in a straight line to catheters, tonight on
MavTV.”

That's why.

SpeedFreaks television made its debut four years ago on SPEED. We rocked three season on the mo'sports network and then high tailed it over to ESPN2.

Now, the gloves are off and MavTV is our new home with our friends at Mopar.

It's what we've wanted to do for two years now. What makes this so special is we control all of our content, there's no network intervention, and of course the international distribution. Dealing with previous network regulations was tedious. Now, we own all of our material which means YOU Freaks can see it as we shoot it.

This first episode is an incredible view of two of the baddest dudes in motorsports. But it's not about driving their rig, its about getting inside these cats lives and putting the high beams on what they do.

Next week, Big Daddy Don Garlits allows us to ride shotgun as he unloads on everything from aliens to hauling bricks around the backyard at three years old. As his dad said of him then, our boy has now become a young man…at three.
