This is the Statt Mann Baby!! Time to Scatt a little bit.

More brilliance this morning from ESPN’s Outside the Lines with a look at Toyota’s financial impact on NASCAR.

To be sure, Toyota will outspend everyone as it grows in NASCAR. It always does. But what about the return on those investments?

Toyota has few championships to show for its invasion of American major league motorsports and that includes this year’s expected truck title.

But more to the point, look at what Toyota has done in F1, the “majorest” of all motorsports. Since 2002, Toyota has out spent everyone there. The estimates go into the multiple billions.

For that, Toyota has 150 total points, no wins or championships and only six podiums.

In five seasons it’s gone through 176 cars, seven drivers and only one fastest race lap.

Where’s Alfred E. Neuman when you need him: Until Toyota proves it can cut the Cup mustard, What? Me Worry!!??

And another Neuman quote on this election weekend: "You could do worse, and always have!"

Peace.
