This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.

The Freaks and Statt Mann are taking you behind the scenes this week to the man behind the curtain.

This time it’s Jon Moore, Moorespeed Performance in Columbus, Ohio. And that’s Vickie, a former cop car that’s been converted to drag racing even with a lifted chassis and more than a hundred pounds of off-road tires in front.
Moorespeed Vickie

This dyno test is in preparation for Sick Week in Florida at the end of the month.

Competitors leave their support behind in Orlando and drive to four drag strips on Florida and Georgia which means the cars must be street legal. The winner is the best average of all the passes on each strip.

Jon did well last year and wants more this year. Hence the rebuild and this week’s dyno test.

That’s twelve hundred horsepower! Jon Moore thinks there’s more but that’s good enough to run in the mid-8s.

Making Vickie two tons of fun.

Peace.
