This is the Statt Mann, Baby. It’s time to Scatt a Little Bit…

There were two headlines in today’s ALMS race at Road America and neither had anything to do with Muscle Milk, the winning team overall.

First, an SRT Viper won the GT race while celebrating their first anniversary back on the race track. But maybe the largest headline was from another pit altogether.

The DeltaWing not only finished the race but actually led for several laps. It was a major break through for the car that made it’s debut in a different category last year. (File Photo)

Don Panoz took over the program from Nissan and its been a struggle getting the car literally up to speed.

There have been small steps but Sunday at Road America there was a giant leap for mankind; at least the part of mankind that cares about racing.

Hope this continues. We need everything the DeltaWing stands for from light weight to tire and engine efficiency.

Well Done.

Peace.
