This is the Statt Mann Baby. It’s time to Scatt a little bit.

I had my Saturday all laid out: several loads of laundry, fried rice burrito from the local food truck, some email and a nap. The 12 Hours of Sebring would make it all work.

But after a dozen promos for LIVE Supercross on Speed it dawned on me that my nine hour commitment to Sebring meant nothing to Speed nor FOX. They had no plans to show me the end of the race live.

And worse, apparently no one planned to stream the race live here in the U.S. after doing so all last year.

Suddenly Quentin Tarantino had hijacked my Saturday turning the race into Sebring Unchained or 12 Hours of Fiction.

But after getting off the couch and 30 minutes of fretting, I found a race stream that worked best on low res filled with stops, starts, frame freezes, interminable commercials and restarts when the audio disappeared altogether; and that included the last half hour of the feed.

According to Brother Jules: “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men…”

Maybe Samuel L. Jackson is driving Speed from my TV… Maybe he should.

Peace.
