For the second straight race in 2015, NASCAR Sprint Cup star drivers have slammed into a wall during a race and suffered the consequences. At Atlanta Sunday Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin careened into a wall that wasn’t protected by SAFER Barriers and had to leave the race. At Daytona the week before Kyle Busch hit a wall and suffered a compound fracture of one leg and a broken ankle on the other. Drivers now are asking the question how much longer will their safety be challenged at the race track?
