This is the Statt Mann, Baby. It's time to Scatt a little bit.

We heard from all the Nattering Nabobs this week about the NFL's violence and how the league would react if it continued.

We heard about the big hits.  We heard about the future damage to long term player health.  And we heard all about the players who wouldn't know how to do it any other way than violently.

A lot of those same arguments could be made about professional hockey even though the international teams play a different game and find ways to beat the National Hockey League players.  Regularly.

Same for Major League Baseball.  That's where players throw rocks at each other at 100 MPH.  And they slide into each others knees with the excuse of breaking up a double play.

It's funny but NASCAR tries to equate itself to stick and ball sports, especially the NFL.  Well, NASCAR throws missiles at each other at 200 MPH.  They slide into each other with the excuse of revenge for some perceived slight. And everyone cheers and swills another beer.

Let's see if NASCAR is as good as the NFL and takes action before something else happens. Again.

Peace.
