This is the Stattmann Baby!!  Time to Scatt a little bit.

When I hear people refer to sports car racers as being from the “wine and cheese” crowd, I usually dismiss their opinion because they usually don’t know what they’re talking about.

Bob Snodgrass, owner of Brumos Racing in Jacksonville, comes to mind when I think of a sports car racer.  He’s won everything he’s ever sought after in racing going back to the IMSA days with the legendary driver Peter Gregg.

We talked with Bob on our Saturday show.  You tell me if this is a wine and cheese attitude!

“You know there’s an adage that I use in the operation of our business.  We’re Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Lexus dealers here.  One of the adages we use to run our business by is: ‘if you pay peanuts, you hire monkeys!'

“Another adage is: ‘when the wind stops blowing, you row!’”

Man, there are two attitudes around which you can build a racing business.  They’re maybe even two attitudes to build a life mission.

Peace…
