This is the Statt Mann Baby. It's time to Scatt a little bit.

A couple weeks ago we paid honor to French rally driver Sebastien Loeb’s ninth straight World Rally Driving Championship.

Now we’re paying honor to his 76th World Rally Championship win… his eighth straight win in Rally Spain completed Sunday in Catalunya… and his retirement from full-time driving in the WRC.

“We will do something different next year,” Loeb told the media after Rallye de Espana, “A few rallies, a few racing but it was my last full season in rallies. It was not easy to make this decision but one day we have to do it so, it was today.”

It’s not important if you’re a rally fan or, even, a motor sports fan. Nine straight championships in any sport surpasses nearly every athletic achievement of our time.

I’m glad I was around to see them all.

Peace.
