This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.

Kalle RovanparaKalle Rovanpera is the DUDE in the rally world right now. He won the World Rally Championship in New Zealand this weekend and the Finn is only 22.

The championship came officially a day after his 22nd birthday. That makes him the youngest world rally champion ever.

Rovanpera’s win in New Zealand came at the expense of Frenchman Sebastien Ogier who’s won eight of these things. But Rovanpera beat him by nearly 35 seconds in New Zealand.

Even if you don’t care about rallying, you have to appreciate this headline. Kalle is traveling all over the world beating guys old enough to be his father. And there’s still two events left in the championship.

Here in America we’re told to cheer for teenagers who win local races. Rovanpera won six of eleven world championship rallies this year. He beat all comers.

So, what were you doing the day after your 22nd birthday?

Peace.
