This is the Statt Mann, Baby. It’s time to Scatt a Little Bit…

It’s early in the Formula One season. Sunday’s event in Shanghai was only the third this year. The fourth is next week in Bahrain.

2014 champion Lewis Hamilton leads the points after wins in Australia and today in China.  Four-time champion Sebastian Vettel won in Malaysia to hold down second in the points.

But this could be a long season for Hamilton’s Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg even though he’s third in points.  After today’s event Rosberg was outraged that Hamilton didn’t drive fast enough for him to hold off a challenge from Vettel.

Rosberg eventually did finish second to Hamilton but not without ongoing accusations of underhanded driving that continued to the post race news conference. This from a guy who took Hamilton out of a race last year when the two were locked in a tense points battle for the championship.

A couple hours after the event Mercedes boss Toto Wolffe said tensions had cooled. Hamilton just smiled on the podium. He said he drove his own race and Rosberg could drive around if he could.

Rosberg’s pouting and complaining is tiring.  I guess we should be happy he’s not a South Carolina cop.

Peace.
