This is the Stattmann Baby!! Time to Scatt a little bit.

More support this week for my theory: The Bigger they are, The nicer they are.

I talked with the brilliant British sports car driver James Weaver… a champion on the racetrack and in his garden.

“It’s just very therapeutic. You can relax and think about whatever you want to think. I really enjoy gardening. A beautiful day in England where it’s bright, 70 degrees, very light breeze, you know, I think it’s one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Unfortunately, we have one of those days about every eight years!

“One of the nice things about living three thousand miles away from your job is you’re almost a Jekyll and Hyde character. You can sort of swap. I tend to go home and not even think about racing. I don’t have a picture of the car in the house. Don’t have any trophies. Nothing!”

In a Sea of Egos, Weaver knows where all the stones are buried.

His career spans twenty years with Rob Dyson Racing, most with a handshake agreement.

Maybe more drivers should try gardening. It would make them men.

Peace.
