This is the Stattmann Baby!!  Time to Scatt a little bit.

Something that should have been historic was marginalized today in Italy and it was sad.

Seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher announced this would be his last season after winning a fifth time at Monza today.

He was forced to the decision after Ferrari decided – and this weekend announced – it would replace Michael with Kimi Raikkonen next year.

Now, we’ve all seen over-the-hill athletes stick around one or two years too long and diminish themselves and everyone around them.

But you can’t turn on a guy who’s won seven titles as he closes on an eighth; especially when that man spent eleven years making your brand worth billions worldwide.  That’s classless.

If you want to dump him, at least, wait ‘til the season’s over.

Kicking Michael Schumacher to the curb during a title run marginalizes all of F1 in my opinion.

It could and should have been done so much better.

Peace.
