Television Host of Overhaulin' Grabs a Permanent Seat in the Freak Nation

Hollywood, CA (December 10, 2008) – Chris Jacobs, host on TLC’s Overhaulin’, featuring smokin’ auto designer Chip Foose, is now riding shotgun with Crash Gladys, Statt Mann and Kenny Sargent as the newest co-host of the biggest motorsports radio show in the country, SpeedFreaks.

"I could not me more stoked to be part of the freakin’ pit crew as a permanent member of the squad," says Jacobs. "I have always loved doing radio and SpeedFreaks is the perfect outlet for me. Motorsports and comedy are two of my favorite things, so to combine them and have it as my job? Freakin’ awesome!"

Jacobs brings a Plymouth Fury trunk full of knowledge from the automotive enthusiast community and his television resume takes up an entire page… SINGLE SPACED!

“Having Jacobs join us every Sunday night is like finding a 4th gear when all you thought you had was three,” says Freaks’ founder Kenny Sargent. “Throttle, as he is known to the Freak Nation, brings an irreverence and psyche to the show that has already provided some pretty off the wall conversation. Yep, he is Freak.”

Jacobs should be pretty good at this kind of stuff anyway, as beyond his Overhaulin’ gig, he has appeared on the TODAY Show and syndicated talk show Life & Style, providing automotive tips and advice to viewers. He’s appeared in a number of television shows, including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Two and a Half Men.

Hell, if anything, when the Freaks get into more trouble, Jacobs can help clean it up… he graduated from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton and was later admitted to the State Bar of California. Nice!

Go to SpeedFreaks’ Surf City Garage Media Page to hear Jacobs expound on earlier shows and be sure to grab a front row bench seat at 7pm PST this Sunday night, December 14, as he joins the Freaks with their holiday sack giveaways. Fun inauguration, eh?!

SpeedFreaks will be off for a two week freakin' holiday after this weekend's show, but be sure to catch the 2009 launch on Sunday January 4th featuring Supercross, Off Road, the Dakar Rally and loads of winter testing details.
