This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.
It’s funny how our culture will equate wealth with intelligence.
Elon Musk is the richest man in the world. He knows about electric cars and rockets to Mars but he’s finding himself pretty confused by social media.
Same with NFL team owner Daniel Snyder. He made billions in marketing and advertising but he’s having problems managing people, especially women.
Now there’s Roger Penske, a billionaire in various businesses but he’s been blistered by people in the IndyCar industry who say he’s fumbled marketing.
This week IndyCar announced a video docuseries for next spring before the Indy 500. The network footprints are relatively small but the audience that will have access to the programming is new to IndyCar.
Maybe The Captain knows how to navigate the stormy seas of marketing enough to walk down the hill and get them all. He doesn’t have great experience selling tickets. Maybe this deal will prove Roger Penske can cross over many bridges at once.
There are several in IndyCar who think Roger can’t find any marketing bridge even with a GPS.
