This is the Statt Mann Baby!!  Time to Scatt a little bit.

Another Action Sports star is wetting his feet in the rally pond.

Metal Mulisha founder Brian Deegan ran in the Susquehannock Trail Rally in Pennsylvania this weekend right after attending rally school in New Hampshire.  Deegan made his name on two wheels in freestyle motocross but he likes the idea of an extra set of wheels.

“I love it.  It’s cool.  I had fun, lots of fun,” he said while mechanics thrashed in the background.  “It goes by too fast, actually.  I get all amped and it’s over.  I like the new challenge.  I like something different.  But it’s just frustrating not being good at something.”

Deegan’s rally interests grew last summer at X Games watching three-time Rally America champion Travis Pastrana win another gold medal.

Learning’s tough though.  On Friday Deegan broke a drive shaft in his Subaru but got the car to service where it was repaired so he could continue.

He joins Pastrana, Ken Block, Dave Mirra and Kenny Bartram as Action Sports legends now in the rally community.

Breaking drive shafts is better than bones.  Before the event Deegan said that’s one reason he’s sampling this rally thing.

Can’t blame him.

Peace.
