This is the Statt Mann Baby!!  Time to Scatt a little bit.

A lot was made this week about the Tiger Woods apology.  But let’s look at that concept through a different colored glass.

What if race promoters demanded to know why fans didn’t turn up at Southern California races?  Who should apologize for that?

What if the fans demanded to know why the tickets cost so much? Or the concessions? Or the souvenirs?  Who should apologize for that?

What if the drivers demanded an apology for inconsiderate fans who chase them into the john demanding an autograph?  Then the fans get upset when the drivers chase them away?  Who should apologize for that?

What if the teams working so many hours they’re barely getting minimum wage, what if those anonymous crews demanded to know why their jobs are depended on big dollar drivers who don’t care about fighting for a win?  Who should apologize for that?

And who should apologize for the media drooling over driver personalities and brands who can’t get it right on the track?  Who should apologize for that?

Seems like there’s a lot of apologizes flying around these days or, at least, there should be.

Peace.
