This is the Statt Mann Baby. It's time to Scat a little bit.

I don’t know if drifter and driver Tyler McQuarrie is an Oakland Raiders fan. He’s from Northern California. But there’s nothing to indicate an interest in the Raiders or team owner Al Davis who died Saturday.

But Tyler drove this weekend in the Formula Drift finale like he bled Silver and Black.  No mercy.  His Commitment to Excellence to Just Win Baby dripped from every run he made at Irwindale Saturday night.

In the past two months he’d been yanked from his car by his team. Then his car was pulled from next season’s plans because of budget shortages.

All Tyler’s done is win an event and finish on the Podium with regularity.  Top 5 in points two of the last three years. So there was some Silver and Black grit in his helmet this weekend and he drove solidly to the win Saturday.

It was a popular win; just like the wins are in the Black Hole in Oakland. Fan or not, it was a real tribute to the memory of Al Davis.

Peace.
