As much as I love exploding gasoline inside a big block engine, it’s time for a mainstream electric car.

Imagine the shape our country and economy would be in if we had taken all of the money we spent in Iraq and the 700 gazillion dollars we have spent bailing out the banks (oops, make that 2 trillion now), and put it towards the creation of the electric car.

We could have developed, produced and distributed the electric car, as well as rebuilt our nation's infrastructure with charging stations and maintenance facilities… all for LESS than what we have spent quenching our thirst for oil.

The carbureted engine will live on forever, but Freak Nation, its time to get real.

The electric car and its positive effect on our society are LONG overdue.
