Here’s something to consider if you looked at the Royal Wedding Saturday and fell in love with all things British.

A survey done last year in Britain found that Brits believe Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter are bad news for their well-being. 18-24 year olds were studied.

The good news? Social Media helped with their self-expression and community building.

But here’s the bad news: those platforms provoked anxiety and depression, deprived them of sleep and left them with a fear of missing out.

Some of the world’s largest corporations are waiting out there to sell us something or, more likely, sell our interest to someone else.

Either way, someone’s making billions on your next Instagram missive. Shouldn’t you get a piece of that action?
