This is the Statt Mann Baby. Time to Scatt a little bit.

Some things bothered me this week in the news.

Elon Musk launching a Tesla roadster into space is a technological achievement for sure. But getting a promised new car out on time for the people who are standing in line to get one would be more of an achievement.

Tesla in Space

Besides the cavalier attitude we take about launching new debris into space to advertise and cross promote business interests; isn’t that how we got this planet into its current environmental problems?

And the idea that American oil production and oil profits are up and oil barrel prices are steady shouldn’t be a market that calls for pump prices to climb. But climb they did anyway.

I have friends who question me about my new small car and why I don’t want to put more money into the pockets of those lying dog oil producing companies.

But there was one good thing. It’s great to have Jeff Gordon in the NASCAR on FOX broadcast booth again. Why there’s room for Michael Waltrip is anyone’s guess.

Peace.
