This is the Stattmann Baby!!  Time to Scatt a little bit.

The NASCAR community’s response to the Hurricane Katrina relief has been LARGE!

Gibbs… Penske… Robbie Gordon… Biffle… UPS… GM… Ford… DaimlerChrysler… Lowe’s… Home Depot… Nextel… Office Depot… and so many more teams and drivers have all pledged millions to the relief effort.

Even ISC, the CORPORATE arm of NASCAR, pledged one million dollars in relief aid.

But nothing on the NASCAR website says The France Family, the people who own the NASCAR brand, are in for a pound.

What they do with their own money is their business.  No doubt, they’re donating privately.

At least I hope they are because when NASCAR goes to Talladega, Alabama October 2nd and takes millions out of that state so hard hit by the storm, they should hide their faces in shame if NASCAR’s first Family hasn’t or doesn’t leave something behind.

Again, what they do with their money is their business.

What fans see them do with THEIR money is THEIR business.

Peace.
