Dixon is a longtime Friend of the Freaks so we love having a friend on board especially after such a successful season. Steve TorrenceNHRA Reading Top Fuel Winner Steve Torrence returned to The Freak Nation Sunday night shortly after his win that kept him atop the NHRA Top Fuel points for 2018. Torrence and his Dad Billy Torrence run the Capco dragster, named for Billy’s contracting business. It’s a smaller team but it’s on a two year run of wins. Steve finished second in the points last year. This year he’s first so far but he’s not a fan of the NHRA playoff format. Listen.

Pipo Derani (2)IMSA Weathertech Laguna Seca Winner Pipo Derani and Johannes van Overbeek returned to The Freak Nation Sunday after their victory celebrations at Laguna Seca. Derani hinted at a comeback for their ESM team even with their Patron sponsorship leaving racing. Derani and van Overbeek are two of the fastest drivers in sports car racing with wins at the Role3x 24 and Sebring 12 Hours. But Sunday was special, it could be their last race together. Listen.

Hugh PLumbIMSA Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix Winner Hugh Plumb came into The Freak Nation for the first time Sunday. His win Saturday was crucial and moved his Team TGM to the doorstep of his first championship. Right now, all he has to do is show up at the last race to get the necessary points. But Plumb has finished second so many times he isn’t counting his championships before they hatch. Listen…

Will Power200IndyCar St. Louis Winner Will Power’s third win of the season puts him in the 2018 championship race with Scott Dixon and Alexander Rossi. Those are the two men who finished behind him at Gateway Motorsports Park. Rossi was second and Dixon third. Christian EckesARCA Springfield Mile Winner Christian Eckes made his maiden voyage into The Freak Nation Sunday night. At 17 Eckes hasn’t been many places but wherever he goes he’s drawing the attention of people who race cars for a living. Eckes was just getting to Indianapolis Sunday night where he’ll test on Lucas Oil Raceway on Monday. Eckes is another ARCA driver on General Tires who knocks it out of the park. Listen…

Billy TorrenceNHRA Lucas Oil Brainerd Nationals Top Fuel Winner Billy Torrence is a part-time driver in the NHRA but he got a full-time win at Brainerd.  He best four-time champion Antron Brown by two feet for the vitory.  Is he ready for a full-time schedule now?  Or is he happier running his own business at home? Brad SweetWorld of Outlaws Knoxville Winner Brad Sweet finally made it into The Freak Nation Sunday night. Sweet is a former NASCAR driver who won the biggest race on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car calendar Saturday night. It was by inches over 10-time Knoxville winner Donnie Schatz, a nine-time World of Outlaws champion. Sweet was a great conversation especially explaining the importance of Knoxville. Listen.

Chase ElliottNASCAR Winner at The Glen Chase Elliott made a brief stop in The Freak Nation Sunday night. His first win ast The Glen was a popular one with all his competitors who rushed to congratulate Chase. He’s the son of Bill Elliott, Awesome Bill from Dawsonville, a NASCAR legend from a different time. Elliott is letting his debut victory sink in a bit. Listen…
