Michael SelfARCA Pensacola Winner Michael Self won on General Tires at the Florida short track. He was much happier after a poor opening to the season at Daytona. But Self has a lot on his plate in a race season. His schedule includes teaching some of the sports headliners how to drive, especially on road courses where he does some coaching and mentoring. Joey LoganoNASCAR Las Vegas Cup Winner Joey Logano came into The Freak Nation Sunday night right after winning the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Logano won in a historic event. It as the first time since 2002 that a Cup race went off without a Yellow Flag. How’d that happen?? And what will Logano do about it? He interrupted his dinner to talk with us before he went to bed to prepare for a test session in Phoenix Monday. Harrison BurtonARCA Lucas Oil 200 Winner Harrison Burton got his first win at Daytona Speedway Saturday night on General Tires. Burton is the son of former NASCAR race winner Jeff Burton and nephew to Ward Burton. Harrison is only 18 but ran a smart race to get his victory. Usually 18 and smart are mutually exclusive but not with Harrison. In fact, most of the ARCA winners who’ve come into The Freak Nation are winners behind the microphone as well. It’s refreshing. Jordan Taylor2019 Rolex 24 Winner Jordan Taylor returned to The Freak Nation Sunday Night shortly after celebrating the win with his teammates on the Wayne Taylor Racing team. Included on the team was two-time Formula One Champion Fernando Alonso. It was Jordan’s second straight win in the Rolex 24, a race that was shortened this year when rain overwhelmed the track causing two extended red flag periods including the one that ended the race a few minutes early. Blake BaggettPhoenix Supercross Winner Blake Baggett waited some five years to come into the Freak Nation as a winner. But he did it Sunday night after a dramatic race in Phoenix Saturday night on his Bubba Burger KTM. The win left him fourth in points. Baggett is a veteran on the supercross circuit but he’s stepping up in skills this season. And his experience allowed him to explain some of the supercross nuances to The Freaks. Listen…

Will Power2002018 Indianapolis 500 Winner Will Power came into The Freak Nation after his likeness on the Indy 500 Borg-Warner Trophy was revealed. Power talked about the engraving, posing for the artist and visiting the artist’s 60 acre farm for final posings. He said the artist, William Behrends, knew Will’s face as well as Will did at the end of the process. Then, you think you could pass the citizenship test Power is preparing to take?. Listen.

Darren Law25 Hours of Thunderhill Winner Darren Law, Flying Lizard Motorsports, came into The Freak Nation before getting on an airplane after the race. Law is one of the owners at Flying Lizard so he knows what’s happening with a sportsman race that professional teams find important. And how did Flying Lizard overcome broken axles and other problems to get the team’s fourth straight win at Thunderhill. Listen…

Joey Logano2018 NASCAR Cup Champion Joey Logano returned to The Freak Nation Sunday night minutes after his title winning race in Homestead, Florida. Logano won his first NASCAR Cup title and closed the deal for Ford’s first Manufacturer’s title in nearly 20 years. Logano drives for The Captain, team owner Rober Penske, a legendary name in motorsports. Penske also spots for Logano during the races. Listen.
