Bernsen was one of the stars including Wesley Snipes, Tom Berenger, Charlie Sheen, Bob Uecker, Rene Russo and Dennis Haysbert. SC_FreaksThe Freaks spent several minutes Sunday night reviewing a new documentary, Rapid Response.  It made it’s world debut before the 103rd Indianapolis 500 and it was a shocking film in what it revealed. It was especially touching to Crash Gladys who grew up at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where her father was part of the medical team before his death.  The important revelation from Rapid Response, however, could be what it said about developments in general sports medicine.  Listen…

Mike Tirico2019 Indy 500 Broadcast Host Mike Tirico might be the best sports broadcaster in the industry. He’s done championship games, Olympic Games and legendary games. Sunday he hosted the NBC Indy 500 broadcast with Dale Earnhardt and Danica Patrick. That was after he took a two-seater ride with Mario Andretti. Tirico did all of it with his usual calm and engaging personality. He’ll be welcome in racing as well as The Freak Nation. Listen…

6th Annual NFL HonorsNFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis is launching a new performance energy drink called Defy. He is bringing the drink into the world of motorsports sponsoring the Schmidt Peterson Motorsports IndyCar team along with Lucas Oil. They’ll be on the car next weekend at the Indy 500. The twist on this story is an active ingredient in the drink, CBD. Davis says it’s hemp based with no trace of THC, the active ingredient in pot. This is a new step in motorsports. Listen…
